How the awards work

Anyone can nominate. Nominees must be of Bangladeshi origin or heritage, living anywhere in the world, and the work being honored must have been released or completed in 2026.

A panel of judges from music, film, technology, business and community life reviews every nomination and draws up a shortlist in each category. Judges step aside from any category where they have a personal or business connection to a nominee.

Winners are announced at the Shikor Awards ceremony and on Shikor.tv.
